Given the limited space and numbers, all sessions ensure that players are always in motion. This allows the CFJ West coaching staff to focus on the players technique. Winter training is also a good time to analyze the practical application of the players tactical awareness, making sure they have fully understood what has been taught in training as the decision making should be quicker in the small spaces.

Why Futsal? The purpose of playing futsal is to provide our players with small sided (more touches) and quick learning environment that emphasizes technical development and speed of play.
What ball will be used? All games will be played with a FUTSAL BALL. The futsal ball is slightly heavier and bounces less than a standard soccer ball. This is very beneficial when playing on the gym floor.
What is the coast of the Futsal League? For some of our teams with smaller rosters, we already have selected the futsal league as your regular indoor league option.
How many players play at a time? Futsal is played with 4 field players and a goalkeeper (5v5).
Winter training will start Monday, January 7th and end Monday, March 11th. There will be NO TRAINING on MLK Jr. Day (Jan. 21st) and Presidents' Day (Feb. 18th).
